I don't think that IB will serv him better than SB will mainly because it seems that pci 3.0 is better suited to sli/crossfire(?) and he doesnt need that as well as SB is well proven and IB is not (I know its not out yet just saying)

All the charts and pre release benchmarks seem to point to yes for that question. I was just suggesting sandy because i thought it might be better for ya to have a proven chip in your first build. Sorry if i confused ya

Don't worry you didn't confuse me I'm just no sure how much more performance i would get from an IB. I can't decide to order now to save the shipping or to wait for the release.

If your only gonna save 50 on shipping(?) then maybe wait till the ivy bridge launch and some reviews come out?

Woooh I think i just found an amazing deal!
ASUS GeForce GTX560 Ti 448CORE Directcuii 732MHZ 1280MB 3.2GHZ GDDR5 HDMI DVIX2 DP PCI-E Video Card - ASUS - ENGTX560Ti448DC2/2DIS/1280MD5
There an error in the title its 3.8 not 3.2! its cheaper than the one i was gonna buy!
Please explain how i can tell which one is better it's slower but has more memory so it's better right?

The one i was originally planing was this one:
ASUS GeForce GTX 560 Ti DirectCU Top OC 900MHZ 1GB 4.2GHZ DDR5 2XDVI HDMI PCI-E DX11 Video Card - ASUS - ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP/2DI/1GD5

Please tell me because if its better i'll order this now and wait till Ivy is released for the rest because this is an 85$ rebate.

The 448 edition is essentially a gtx 570 chip (gf110) with one more unit disabled giving it 448 cores. It is a much better card than the regular 560 ti and with a decent OC will beat 570's and match some 580's. The only problem with that card is its triple slots wide. I personally have one of those cards running at 4000mhz effective memory and 910 on the core completely stable and silent. Bottom line if triple slots doesn't bother you I say buy it

Oh there is plenty of space for it! And by the way, I would like to build it myself but is there anything really complexe or dangerous about building a computer for the first time? Is there a lot of things to do in the BIOS? I'm feel pretty comfortable with everything but I just want to make sure.

Thanks,
Chuck
