Overall the build looks good. A few points to consider:

The 7770 is great, but currently overpriced IMO. I always recommend a single faster card vice crossfire/SLI. I would recommend going to a single 7870 in this case (or a 7850 if you want to keep the cost down some more).

I would switch to an i5 CPU if I was you (2500k if you will OC or 2400/2500 if you will not). Check out the HWC review of the 8150 if you haven't already here. 8150 is only faster in a few situations and uses substantially more power.

Should i just wait for Ivy Bridge and z77's motherboards to come out this late April? Should i just consider this option? I'm not in a hurry what so ever. I just want a compatible gaming system and a good editing computer at the most. I'm also thinking of overclocking my system, just to get the most of it. Please answer this

I personally would wait for Ivy Bridge or even just go with Sandy Bridge. I bought a pretty much top of the line 990FX board thinking I would go buldozer and I'm still running a 1090T because the buldozer just isn't worth it. Wasted my money and now I'm stuck with a pretty much non-upgradeable machine for two years until I can afford to replace it all.

I just got an Asus radeon 7850 and got it overclocked to 1101mhz and 6000mhz. Its scoring the same as gtx 580. This setup would do you better than a 7770 cf setup. Plus it would be $100 cheaper. Here is the review that extols the virtues of this very affordable power house! Btw it only hit 82c on the maxed out Heaven benchmark with the fans @ 50%(they were no louder than the rest of the fans in my case)

I've been considering the same thing there Charles and I think if you wait forever your going to be dead before you make a decision...

How I see it is that the Z68 chipset is well established has everything a gamer needs (i7-2600k) and the lga 1155 mobo's haven't been maxed out in there capabilities (video cards still don't use all the bandwidth)

This being said, you can wait around for the new architecture of ivy bridge and the Z77 chipset which I'm assuming will be set at premium price? Or you can buy an excellent lga 1155 based system that is getting cheaper everyday.

*Sigh* it's so hard decided how to spend money... first world problems.

Chomie.
