My System Specs

Not sure where you're getting your processor from, but there's a Phenom II 965 BE in the BST C/W Coolermaster V6 for $100 shipped.

There's also a few 5830's, 6850's and 6870's for sale in the BST. You may want to have a look around and see what you can find. You'll probably get better performance for less money than the 6790.

HTPC: Z77A-G45; 3770K; Coolermaster GeminII; 2x4GB Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz; ASUS GTX650Ti Boost; 2x 128GB Crucial M4 SSD; 4TB WD Red, 2x 2TB WD Green; PC P&C 750W PS; Coolermaster 690II;
Son's Rig: M5A97; 1055T; CNPS20LQ; 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz; MSI GTX960; 250GB Crucial MX200; 320GB WD Black HDD; SPI 700W; Bitfenix Shinobi;

I agree that the 6790 is insufficient for that system. Here is what I would recommend,

AMD Bulldozer X4 FX-4100 (95W) Quad-Core Socket AM3+, 3.6GHz, 8Mb Cache, 32nm $119.99 You should be able to overclock it approx 4.5Gig, just look at my sig :)

Sapphire (11179-13-20G) AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB $169.99

Corsair (CW-9060001-WW) Hydro Series H40 CPU Cooler $49.99

Thermaltake Commander MS-I Snow Edition ATX Mid Tower $54.99

Total: $394.96 + tax
Main System:
i5 3570k @ 4.6ghz | GA-Z77X-UD3H | Gigabyte GTX 670 | 8gb Redline 1600mhz | CM 690 | Logitech G9x | Mushkin Cronos 120gb ssd | Benq 24" | CM Hyper 212+ | Seasonic 750w | X-Fi Titanium | Sennheiser 350 | Razer blackwidow | Win 7 64-bit
Backup System:
AMD X2 7750 BE @ 3.0G | Asus M3A78-CM | 2x2gig 800mhz 4-4-4-12 | SB LIVE | Samsung 22" | Asus 9800gt | Antec NEO 620w | Logitech G5 | ThermalTake Matrix | Arctic Cooling Freezer 64
