My System Specs

Default Now, I'm only missing a vid-card!!

I started collecting parts from sales back in October! I planned on having a build within two months, but life happened. Here I am, February, just ordered the pieces to give me a working PC, albeit, no graphics card yet.

Here's what I've got:

CPU - i7 2600k
Mobo - Asus P8Z68-V Pro Gen III - $499 Cpu/board combo deal. Just ordered it 5 mins ago lol.
Cooler - Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo $36
HDD - Hitachi 7K3000 3TB - $99 on sale before the prices went up!
SSD - OCZ Vertex 3 120gb - $179 on sale
Ram - 8gb Corsair Vengeance low voltage 1600mhz (white) $39
PSU - Corsair Tx750 v2 - $99
Case - Silverstone RV02e White. I'm so excited I bought this. Its hard to find now. $149 on sale.
Monitor - Asus VS247h-p 23.6in. $169
LG 24x DVD drive - $25
Logitech G9x mouse.
Tomorrow, I'm going out to get a Razer Black Widow Ultimate keyboard.

I'm happy with my component selection. I'll live with Intel 3000 graphics until Nvidia's new stuff comes out. Then I'll make the decision between the AMD 7950 and whatever Nvidia's latest will be.

This will be my first from-stratch build in 10 years. I can't wait until I have to upgrade!!!! lol.

^^ With a Rig like that and slightly more on the PSU, look for a couple of "barely used" GTX 580's to throw in there, blow the doors off a single 7970 for a fraction of the $$ more. There starting to show up in the $350 price range.
Sorry just realized you have a 1080 monitor.......560ti would be fine.

I just don't have the room for a 3 monitor setup, and I couldn't bring myself to buy a $400 monitor.
I hadn't realized the 7950 was $500. I was thinking along the lines of the 570 super overclocked. $370 seems ok for a rig of this sort. I'll most likely wait until the 2012 equivalent of that is out. Or, get one cheaper used.
