Default hello all i got a question,

so i am working on my first real mod, just trying to sleeve my power supply, is there a cheaper way to remove the pins from the power supply cable or should i just buy the tool? ill also post some pics of what i got so far as soon as i find the right spot lol

You can use staples bent into an L shape, basically just bend one side of the staple straight. Then push it into the connector on either side (need 2 staples) to depress the tabs that hold the pin in.

It definitely isn't the most ideal though I used it a week ago to tear apart a single cable, but I surely wouldn't do a whole PSU with that method as my fingers would hate me.

If you're able to find them you can get very fine and long needle nose pliers (precision pliers) you can use one end of those to bend the retaining clips back. Very fine files also work and precision punches. There's lots of stuff you can use or make to use for taking pins out. Also the lazy person's way(my favourite method) is to get pre-sleeved cable extensions long enough to hide the rest of the PSU cable behind the MB tray.
