don't rely on the bronze silver or gold ratings to justify a psu

wouldnt spend more for the 7970 till i see proof that it's so much better
I would choose the gtx580 for the following reasons:
1-Better drivers
2-AWSOME 3D(Radeon 3d is full on retarded)

I am also.for a different psu never run CM on a high performance rig. Also for.editing you might want to consider an i7 they will be faster.

And that card is gddr5 you cant wait for the next round of technology otherwise you.will never buy a computer.
Okay okay im gonna find a another psu maybe a corsair, but i will stick with i5, it will perform just as good for gaming as the i7 and i will OC it anyway.

But one question. For how long do you think this system will be able to run everything on max??
At 1024 x 768, very long; at 2560 x 1600 (or bigger), it might not be able to do that with all games now I believe. What that means is that its very dependent on the resolution (and the kind of games). At 1080p, it should be good for a little bit. I doubt it will be good for 2.5 years, but it should definitively be able to play games at a decent resolution even then provided you do overclock.

Sticking with i5 instead of i7 is mostly a good idea.

2560 x 1600 is very hard on your gpu, comparable with 3d...
