Default Need help picking GPU

So I am almost finished collecting my parts for my first build. I still need a Computer Case and GPU. GPU is the one i need paticular advice on.

GPU:
The selection of GPU is frustrating, their are new ones out or releasing soon, and although I dont mind waiting, is it worth it? I want one good enough to run BF3 on Ultra, and I am using a 32" TV for a monitor, and wondering if one card is better for it than another. some people keep saying nividia for resolution, but i cant find any definitive research to back up their claims. price isn't really a matter, but I dont just wanna spend more for no reason.

CASE:
Now for the case, I know this is all up for opinion, but as a first buyer im finding it hard. I want something big enough for my components. one big thind is that my power supply is NOT modular, so i need good cable management. I was looking at some HAF cases, and Corsair, etc. So many. this isnt really important as I know this will be alot about opinion.

Computer

+ Processor: 2nd Gen Intel i&-2700K
+ Motherboard: Intel Extreme Series DP67BG Board
+ RAM: 16GB (4X4GB DDR3) G.Skill Ripjaw
+ Optical Drive: ASUS 24X DVD Optical Drive
_ Video Card: Radeon HD 7970 or 7950
+ Solid State Drive: Kingston V100 64GB (Boot Drive)
+ Hard Drive: Internal Caviare Black 1TB, GoflexPro 7200 3.0
_ Computer Case: Unsure
+ Optional Cooling: Corsair H50 CPU Cooler
+ Power Supply: PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 950W

They are definately worth waiting for, the 7970 overclocked sometimes matches or even beats a gtx 590 or 6990.

For a case i really like the bitfenix colossus venom with a window, looks mighty fine.

It might be important to know the resolution of your tv because I believe at 720p you are overkilling by going with a 7970. And 32" usually is 720p, otherwise the wait pretty much is over for a 7970.

560ti or 6950. will run games maxed out at 720p for like the next million years. 7970 is overkill at 720p and expensive as hell.

Agree with others. What is your TV resolution?
