£530 extreme budget Gaming pc OPINION NEEDED

this is my first complete computer build. i would like the pc to run skyrim, bf3 nearest to ultra as possible at 1360x768 (will upgrade to 1920x1080 in the near future) i already have a copy of windows 7 and hard drives. heres the list of components.

AsRock 990FX Extreme 3 Motherboard - £95.40

AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 -£104.99

G Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL (8gb) -£35.20

MSI NVidia GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II- £167.30

would like some experience with the FX-6100 I prefer INTEL+nVidia but did not fit in Budget (i5, z68 mobo ect.)
will the corsair tx650v2 (UK means the United Kingdom version) be powerful enough?
buying from amazon UK ONLY.

Yes, the Corsair tx650v2 will do just fine. Everything else looks good also. I have no comment on the Bulldozer as I have never used one.

thanks for the advice on the PSU, was a bit worried on that but there is alot of bad reviews on the bulldozer series. maybe someone with realworld experience with the processor on games could help out. but amazon have it at the same price as i3. two cores vs six cores, it's a no brainer

I'm currently using an FX-6100 chip. Its ok, cant really complain. I have mine OC'd to 4.43GHZ on air seems to run ok. If you haven't purchased the cpu yet, maybe look at getting a 965 BE or 1055T chip. They have better single threaded performance than the Bulldozers and you can always upgrade to something newer with that board later. my 2cents

thanks, i'll try to stretch my budget to 1055t (they seem to be more)

The 955BE overclocked is a very fast chip, is quite easily done with a good board, and decent cooler.

my choices.
CPU-955/965 Black edition c3 revision if you can find them, or 1055T or 1075T, I myself went with 955BE as very few things will use the extra cores anyways, and if they did, you wouldnt be going for a 6core FX :P
Memory-8gb Gskill memory 1333-1600-1866. The set I have Gskill RipjawsX 1866 9,10,9,24 1.5v 2x4gb kit works perfectly fine at the rated timing,speed, voltages in my motherboard, or 1600 9,9,9,24 1.5v.
Motherboard- ASUS M5A99X EVO or M5A97 EVO, I have the 9x EVO and its a wonderfull motherboard, very wicked for overclocking, and stays very cool as well.
GPU-up to you, I like Radeons, but thats me, you mentioned MSI you also have EVGA or ASUS DC II.
PSU-the one you mentioned should be fine, another choice would be Antec TP 650 new, Corsair HX650, and such, its a budget/power thing :P, but, around 50a on the 12v and at least 600w available power, you will be fine for any singe card out there, overclocking the FX chips take alot of extra power just to let you know.
CPU cooler-Hyper 212+ with extra fan, excellent cooler, and very low cost.
CASE-the one you said, also HAF 922/932, NZXT M59, Raidmax Viper are also good choices
DVD drive if you need one ASUS B1ST
Hard Drive if you need it Caviar black 640 AALS model or Caviar blue 1tb sata 6gb/s based.

thanks again for the advice. don't plan on overclocking untill everything starts getting slow in future i will get the hyper212+ as you say good performance at a great price but some reviews say it was a bch
to install what was yor experience with it?

Try buying from Novatech instead. I presume, by looking at your alias, that you're from Scotland :P As am I, I built my rig from parts off Scan and Novatech. Parts are much cheaper and still reliable.

i just found a AMD phenom II x4 960t at £89.70 is this processor any good?

I have the 212 (not the plus) and heard similar things.
I didn't have a problem. it's (if they are the same) a case of attach mounts to board (basically nut and bolt with a hole in the bolt to attach the cooler)
once thats done then you simply screw the cooler to the mounts.

While the cut-out on my case (back-plate) was a lil small and made it a bit awkward(you can just attach while the board is out), I couldn't find any other issue.

P.S if your just gaming then get the X4 rather than X6 chip as you'll not be using the 6 cores.
