Yestarday i was in the market to purchase Core i5-2400 but it was short and no chances for next 2 weeks but i then got Core i5 2320, but m not happy as it is lil bit below the line according to some specs:
vPro Technology: i5 2400 Yes i5 2320 No Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d): i5 2400 Yes i5 2320 No Intel® Trusted Execution Technology: i5 2400 Yes i5 2320 No
Bus/Core Ratio: i5 2400 31 i5 2320 30
Embedded Option Available: i5 2400 Yes i5 2320 No
Will it make some major differences in terms of gaming video rendering casual work surfing internet and photoshop???????
Then what's the problem? You already purchased the chip and pretty much stuck with it. For sure it's better than an i3-2100 since it got more cache and can turbo boost. In a few months, you can probably buy a i7-3xxx (don't know if you need a new motherboard).
