If using wd blacks I use a P8P67 fine board, very stable if you only use 1 graphics card.

the msi is actually problematic lol

maximus IV is the best

the gene-z is better than the msi lol
i just sold my gene-z to a guy that had a his msi Big Bang die on him

the MIVE commin tonight
Ive owned only asus and msi mobos and the msi are better. The big bang Marshal can oc better than a ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z ROG. My current board(msi big bang xpower) beats any asus boards in oc capabilities. Plus Asus is completly gay for active/retarded heatsinks

I actually don't mind active cooling the small fans can't come near my 120mm fans at full power noise wise. Plus I never really liked passive coolers ever since my old MSI board that I had. The northbridge on it would always be around 75C until I replaced the cooler to an active one temps dropped right down to 36C. I think a lot of passive coolers on mobos are designed thinking that the cpu heatsink would be blowing down towards the mobo then out over and across the mobo heatsinks(not the SB of course). (just my own opinion/observation)

ya right

my freind has the msi big flop bang lol
can't overclock 4 2gb stix
cant even clock ram as good as a gene-z
and the mive is even better
you never tried a maximus extreme
its not like the cheaper boards

i just upgraded from the gene-zto the maximus IV extreme
and its better than the gene-z needs less voltage for higher oc

my new 24/7 overclock 1.415v 1.65v on memory
2x2+2x4gb =12gb of memory
