hardwaremonitor shows all temperatures, msi afterburner just shows gpu temperature but also allows you have have on screen gpu temp display and you can overclock your card with it, and realtemp for cpu temp monitoring

you'll have to look around on the internet because I have a 2500k not the same cpu as you, but I'd say round 85 degrees celcius full load for the gtx570

Right now your comp is at the risk of being a bit outdated, but its still solid. Your rig is like 2008 Murcielago, a Lamborghini will always be a Lamborghini no matter what year its from.

I'm more concerned about your future upgrades, it's all over the place man. I don't know what you're planning to do with that monster of a machine, is it just for gaming or just for kicks?

Either way the future GTX 570 tri SLI is a waste of money, by the time you get your 3rd GTX 570 it'll be outdated. When you upgrade to a X79, just get your self the top of the line dual gpu card at the time and be done with it, you'll save yourself having to buy another PSU and having to pay extra for a board that accommodates tri SLI. You can salvage the ram, hard drive, optical drive, etc and sell your 960 and motherboard. Or you can keep them and build and extra comp it'll still be cheaper than what you were originally planning to do.

I am planning on dual 570's and doing the x-79 switch next christmas but the dual gpu card is somthing I havent thought of and maybe get it instead of the 2nd 570. The old x58 board and chip will go into another build for kicks.My idea of this rig is to have a good gaming platform and just have fun stuffin stuff into the box. I know it sounds a bit crazy but hell I have done worse for less to show for it. Thanks for the ideas yall are the best Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Ok after playing LotR online on ultimate settings my gpu maxxed at 76 C 168 degrees and my CPU 62 C 143 degrees . I am hoping these are acceptable levels. I think I will go with a dual gpu water cooled card when I go to x79 next christmas.

Well gentalmen I recieved the computer from Cyberpower on the 9th of dec and what I got was a Coolermaster HAF X case with a gigabyte G-1 Guerrilla board ( wished id spent a extra 100 for the sniper) with a i-7 960 oc'ed to 3.8 with a 240mm XSPC watercooling kit install with a push pull fan config. Also 12 gb of Corsair Vengeance ram at 1600 mhz and a EVGA GTX 570 HD 2.5 gb with a Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 1000w power supply. Also there was a LG bluray player combo and a 12-1 card reader with a seagate 1tb 6gbs HD.
As soon as it arrived I started ripping usless stuff out like the hot swap bay which now hold the 12-1 card reader and the top half is the bottom on the 80mm LED green intake fan and the back side of the bay has a 140mm coolermaster intake fan . I took the top off and removed the esata and firewire cable to lessen the amount of wires and installed 2 200mm red LED exhaust fans. Inside the case I cleaned up all the wireing and replaced the VGA card duct fan with a green LED 120mm fan and replaced the side 200mm fan with a Blue LED 200mm fan and replaced the rear 140mm exhuast fan with a multicolored one.Also replaced the 24pin and 8 pin power cables with Kobra cable extensions in green to match the motherboard.
I still need a SSD and another GTX 570 to run in SLI to complete it but it is a start. I wish I could post pics but the forum is smater than I am so if you want to see the rig stop by my FB page Mike Boogie Bogolub to check it out. Oh and I almost forgot added a 32" monitor/tv :D
