Brand pref for EVGA I assume?

Have you considered X79? That will give best perf for 2x GTX 580. It is also more expensive however, Probably a bit over $900 for CPU and MB alone.

What is your budget?

i dont really care what motherboard as i want to game and overclock ect
Im looking at around 2-6k to spend on this

^^^ With that kind of Budget ...up to 6K really??!! I wouldn't hesitate to feed my 580's some X79 "goodness" ;)

Honestly...I wouldn't waste any time on a PhysX Card...not worth it at all imo.

With that kinda of budget why stuff all that goodness into a HAF X? Get some full aluminum goodness from Lian Li or the like and let it breathe proper. Also x79 for sure, let those 580s stretch their legs.

yeah i guess but i quite like the case and its going to be water cooled anyway

X79 FTW!!!! :punk: if you have the money then go for it. i'd go for the asus rampage though if i ever got an x79 setup....... "IF" that IF means never :haha: but yea if you got the money go for it i mean theres people who are rocking x58 since day one dont hesitate. and yea go for a lan-Li much better for that kind of setup imho.
