Yeah, I was just interested to try out an AMD chip. The chip is definitely a fail IMO, but I figured it would be fun to overclock and play with nonetheless.

Looking at that score, I find myself wondering how it would compare to my old C2D E6600 (overclocked to 3.2 GHz) with the GTX 480 I recently acquired. Unfortunately I'm running XP still, so generally just benchmark with 3DMark06.

Racked off 15240 with the GTX 480 at stock clocks, 1280x1024. Looked up 3DMark11 results with an E6600 and GTX 480, showing scores of 4450-4600, albeit with overclocked 480s and 4 GB of RAM.

at stock everything that's not a bad number actually, i am pretty impressed.

Tho I have never ran 3dmark11 stock lol Let me find something older for you. Unfortunately, this is my wife's laptop and I dont got much here. I found this tho with a 570 i had months ago. When I get my system going I will find more as they are saved on my hard drive.

One pic is with i7 950 clocked at4.3ghz with 2 470's clocked and one is i5 750 clocked up to 4.2 and a single 570 but i think that was factory over clocked. And both benches are 3dmarkvantage.

Yeah if ya want to post some numbers for comparison that would be cool. Just did some quick multiplier overclocking to 4.4 ghz. I noticed that the board's bios is lame and wont let you disable core boost. As a result, the multi drops during the stability test. I had to run amd overdrive and disable it in there. Will run 3dmark11 again to compare.

3DMARK11 result 5263 pts @ 4.4GHz vs 4933 (3.3GHz)

Dandi, for a bench change your core clock to 750 for your gpu and you wouldnt need to change the voltages and then run it, you should get at least 150-300 points boost.
