Overclocking always depends on the chip but you should be able to reach over 4.5 ghz rather easily. I would personally pick up a z68 board because SSD caching would be a good option for you.

This guy is selling some mountain mods stuff you should check it out.

SVP really isn't a big deal no matter what you buy you are going to be able to run it.

Any thoughts on a video card? I'm sure we could help you.

I am considering getting that but I'll look around to see for local ones, or maybe and ascension if available. I'd create a thread in the buy/sell section but I still need more posts. Its too bad I cant take advantage of my purolator discount as it only works when I send packages, not receiving.
My i3 is barely able to handle 1080p video at 60fps without lowering some configurations.
I would probably consider a GTX 580 unless nvidia releases something new.

If you give us a budget we will be able to help you much more by finding you deals and showing you some nice parts, give you the best build for your money.

If you're going to run a 360 rad, every other option on the market is better than the Swiftech... A good 360 rad will cool that chip and any GPU you can throw at it.

I am also mountain mods' biggest fan (own 3 of their cases) but their cases are very expensive. If you are only going to run a single rad, you can save some money by purchasing a full tower case - you will have plenty of room for a rad and all your parts.

I'd get a z68 instead of a p67, and I would also recommend a 570GTX

$1300 is a pretty small budget when you're adding water-cooling to the mix (if that needs to be a part of your budget). Still, most people have a pretty stable (somewhat) safe o/c @ 4.8 on liquid for the 2600k.

The new chippies coming out in the next two months might completely change your platform (or not), so just keep in mind that there are some new goodies reaching the market by the end of the year :)

The $1300 budget is for the main computer parts only, watercooling has a different budget.
