all i need is tips, tell me if everything is compatible (i think so but im not 100% sure) and if its good bang for buck
yeah i think so too thx alot
try and go for one of the six core thubans, i got one to replace the quad 925 i killed and have noticed many areas that perform better plus i got 20 frames more than i used to in battlefield and why not you can get the 1090 for 160 on sale these days. and really the quads are just so old now a days:whistle:
and maybe get a 990x board because that gigabyte you chose only does x16 and x4 try to atleast get x8,x8 for xfire or sli and plus the 990's have alittle bit more features that should future proof a little more.
like this one: Newegg.ca - ASUS M5A99X EVO AM3+ AMD 990X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS maybe even go for the ud3 990fx or biostar 990fx for 10 or 15 more than the asus
to tell you honestly I dont see the 60$ diffrence really pay off...
id rather invest the 60 buck on RAM or CPU
the six cores with 3.2Ghz is 175 buck
the quad cores with 3.2Ghz is 115 buck
and an additionnal 8GB of RAM is 70 buck
so ill check that out but thx for the ideas
I'd rather pay the $60 for two extra cores that I could possibly use in a multithreaded application than pay $60 for 8GB more of RAM that I might never be able to utilize fully. 8GB is enough for the majority of users and I doubt you would be able to use anything more than 8GB for the lifetime of the rig. 16GB could be mainstream by the time your rig is considered outdated but that is at least 5 years from now.
yeah but 6 cores ain't gonna be THAT useful.... at my knowledge
but yeah ill maybe do it... what's 60 buck these days :P
and I won't need to OC it
hmmmm... tough choice
