Asus p8z68 v-pro GEN3, when they come out...

MSI GTX 570, because I read the MSI cards, due to the heatpipe design run very cool in the vertical orientation my case offers.

Windows 7 Home Premium.

Asus 24" monitor. Not sure which one yet.

Keyboard, unknown, open to suggestions.

This is mainly a gaming computer, that all my Mac friends insist is still going to suck.

Your MAC friends are correct as this will be an awesome gaming computer and thus their MAC orientation will not be able to comprehend it and it will indeed suck... to them.

Looks good to me although I can't say about the motherboard.
The 570 is a great choice. I have an EVGA GTX570 and it has been a great card for me.

As for a keyboard I heve been looking into my first "gaming" keyboard and for me the choice came down to these two:

I selected the Corsair in the end. The mechanical keys are not a big feature for me but I think I'll like them. I also like the aluminum construction of the Corsair. Both have backlighting which is essential for me.

For me I took the Corsair because it "seems" likre the quality of the components will be worth the extra bucks. I say "seems" because it is very new to the market and there is very little information out there and I'm putting a lot of faith in the Corsair brand name for this.

If i were to buy a keyboard...(and trust me I'd like to but can't really justify it cause my Logitech G11 is still going strong) I'd probably get the Razer Black Widow Ultimate. Mechanical, individually lit keys, plus I think it fits in nicely with the rest of my computer.

If I were in the market for a new monitor I'd look seriously at this ASUS model SKY just had on review.
SKY certainly seems impressed with it and it seems as if 3D is the coming thing.
Problem is the price tag for the monitor and glasses is more than for a similar product that is non-3D.
