Dual GTX 285 upgrade

Hey guys. Ive have 2 GTX 285s for a while now and eventually im going to have to upgrade so why not now. ive been thinking about upgrading to one of the following :

GTX 580 3 Gig edition
HD 6990
GTX 590

Which do you guys recommend?

You really aren't going to see a huge performance upgrade with the gtx 580, which leaves us with the 580/6990. Honestly at this point 6990 and 590 are tied in performance so it doesn't matter which you pick too much. If I were you I would hold out for the new cards coming out in the next 4 months AMD is supposed to be coming out with their new cards using the 22nm process which should give great performance gains.

There really is no point in upgrading for you right now 2x gtx 285's have pretty good performance.

Not the 580, and the 3GB memory won't give you ant benefit other than at extreme resolutions.
My personal choice would be a 590 (same performance as the 6990 but in much more refined card).
BUT, if you can hold out till around feb 2012, you'll have a significantly better choices to make.

Ok thanks alot guys. i think i'll wait cause i made the bad choice of buying the 285s right before the 400 series came out.

wait for the next generation from AMD and Nvidia

If you must buy soon and can't wait, i'd go for the 590 for the better driver support.
