Any advise on my new build?

I plan on doing some hardcore 1080P gaming at +60FPS for some of the newer games coming out like BF3 and Skyrim. Besides gaming I will be doing plenty of archiving/data compression, AutoCAD, and PS. I need advise on the overall build including recommendations for a CPU Heatsink (are they even necessary?), a super quite case that will fit a 580, and best RAM?

If you plan on doing any over clocking, or don't want to listen to the stock cooler then you are going to need an aftermarket heatsink. The Hpyer 212+ is a bit older, but still decent and it can be had fairly inexpensively. Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA1155 LGA1156 120MM - DirectCanada $23.69 at Direct Canada. Or you can go with one of the all in one liquid set ups Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H60 High Performance CPU Cooler System LGA1155 LGA1366 LGA1156 AM2 AM3 - DirectCanada $59.69 at Direct Canada. Lots of other choices too.

The ram you selcted is decent too. No issues there.

Use Shopbot.ca to price match everything and you'll likely save a few bucks.

Here are my thoughts :
RAM : is great I use the same myself!

Video card : I think you over did it a bit go something a little lower save a few bucks or go SLI/Crossfire of something a little less. I'm thinking 560 ti's myself (just got a pair and love them!). Personally I'd get some used cards and just use those (from here I think I saw some 6970's or something on here last week) and you'll get those cheaper then this.

CPU & MOBO : Should be great but really do you want to throw the extra coin or should you just stick with the 2500K?

PSU : This is where I would differ a bit as well. Get something a little stronger just for updatability purposes. 850W is enough for what your doing but what if you want to add more drives, another video card etc... Your call for sure but I'd probably do 1000W

Case : The Antec 300 has been on sale and its a great budget case (i use it for many businesses etc as its not to fancy and it gets the job done. But for what your doing I'd recommend something with better airflow

CPU COOLER : the ones above would do well I use an H50 and H70 myself on my rigs, but noctua is never a bad Cooler either :)

Lots of room, very good airflow, you can add in 2 x 200 mm fans later if you wish
