Default New gaming build in September

Hello again, my 4th post maybe haha :D

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
-The computer will be used for 90% gaming and 10% school work.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
-2235 USD's (15 000 swedish crowns)

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
-Sweden.

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
-I dont care what brand it is, as long as its the best i can get, because i wont upgrade anything for 3-5 years.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
-No my current comp is from 2001 so...

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
-Not on this forum, but yes.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
-I will overclock the graphics card(s) and the CPU.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
-September ( or atleast order the parts then)

9. What resolution will you use?
-1920x1080 ( When i get a new screen for Xmas, until then its 1650x1080)

Considered Parts
Motherboard: Asrock p67 Extreme 4 REV B3
DVD Burner & Reader: Samsung SH-S222AB
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k 3,4 GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3-1600
OS/Programs HSD: For OS and SOME programs: OCZ SSD Agility 3 120 GBs
Programs/Storage HDD: 2 HDDs: The first is a 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ and the second is a 500GB Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ. The 1TB one for storage and the 500 GB one for games. Both are 7200RPM
Graphics Card: Im thinking of Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti OC 1GB in SLI. Or one GTX 580.
PSU: Corsair TX 850W V2 80+ Bronze.
Case: Cooler Master HAF 922 Black Edition.
Headset: Logitech G35 <-- A headset must be included if you want to change my build, preferably a 7.1 one.
Keyboard: Microsoft Sidewinder x4 Gaming Keyboard <-- Dont care what keyboard, as long as its good. A keyboard must be included if you want to change my build

I don't think you would have any problems if you built your computer as you are considering. My thoughts are:
1) I have nothing to back this up, but I would would go for an ASUS or Gigabyte MOB over the Asrock
2) There are better coolers than a hyper 212+, but it is great for the price
3) I have no experience with samsung HDD, so I cannot comment on reliability (I would go WD black)
4) I would say drop the 560ti SLI idea and go with your secondary idea of a single GTX 580 (always pick single more powerful IMO)

Those are just my thoughts. Take it for what its worth.

Agreed on all count, especially about the video cards.

Not all games have a properly working SLI profile. This means that in many games, you will not get any benefits from having 2 cards. Meanwhile, every single game can and will benefit of having a single more powerful GPU and run problem free. This also means that down the line, if you wish to, you could SLI that GPU with another one.

But with that build i have right there, do i have EVERYTHING right to run it on SLI? I mean on the Mobo, there are 16x Pci express slots, 8x and 4x and i dont know if that matters :( If i choose the Asrock p67 mobo i thought about it has 1 16x slot, 1 8x slot and 1 4x slot, so if i put One gtx 560 in the 16x and on in the 8x slot, will the 8x slot not perform as well as the 16x?

its the better case,in me humble opinion. much cheaper too. not that you care for 30 dollars difference but still.

and get the 3gb version of the 580,no matter what ppl say

thiough if i were you i would get a single 6950 to tie me over till the new cards hit, this fall....by the time you put it together,+-.

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 3GB Review

Totally GPU-dependent game, at 1920x1200 (similar to the 1920x1080 he will be playing at), the 1.5GB and 3GB shows practically no difference.. However, a single graphics card is always the best solution.

Edit: Maybe it's not available in North America, but I don't see a HAF 922 Black Edition on the CM website. ?Do you mean the Red Edition (it has a black interior) ?
