Default what psu would you run if

Looking to upgrade graphics card/cards and will need a new psu

upgrade will most likely be 2 6870x2 by powercolor and was thinking that a corsair ax850 will run both of these cards but just curious what you guys would run trying to keep the upgrade to under 1200 with tax and the cards run about 900 so does not leave alot of room for a PSU.

PowerColor HD 6870 X2 2 GB Review - Page 25/31 | techPowerUp

well

2 of those will eat on load 500 watts, on extreme loads 700 watts

and thats 12 volt watts

i would get 2 6950's though. at high settings, resolution and what not, with fewer cores they will put up a good fight and

of course the power consumption wont be deadly lol. plus drivers for fours cores...hmmm....

Any quality 850w or greater PSU will do (1000w if you want extra headroom for the long term). Personally I would not crossfire 6870x2. I would go for 2x gtx 580 or 2x hd 6970. Quad cross fire is just not something I would go for.
