Exclamation Please, I need advice on rig?

Hi all. It has been very long time since I have been here. A lot has happened in the year. I lost my wife along with my Rig which I have dumped soo much money into.
Now i am on the hunt for a new rig, And monitor.
I am a big time gamer so my new rig needs to be able to max out the current list of top games along with the power for games coming up.
I would like a 27 inch Screen as it will be my T.V. for now too. I was considering going up to a 30 Inch but the thought of having to max out games with all the eye candy at the highest res 2560X1600 would need a huge GPU if not two. Is it possible with my budget?
My budget is basically 1400.00 Canadian after taxes. So can I run a 30 inch lcd with all the eye candy for that price then sign me up. But I think realistically a 27 inch at 1920X1080 or 1920x1200 will be fine. The added horsepower needed to run those extra pixels could prolly be better spent on something else.
As for a case, I don't need a top of the line bad ass case. Just something with good air flow and the option to have lots of fans for when I Overclock my GPU and CPU in the hot summer months.
I might be able to get my OS back from the wife so I won't be needing to buy a new OS
As for GPU or CPU and MOBO I am lost.
I have no clue whats good anymore.
I have only had INTEL and EVGA stuff in past, But I am not a fanboy buy any means.
So AMD or INTEL and Nvidia or ATI would be fine, Whatever is going to get me playing Battlefield 3 when it drops is what I want. And I Dont need any water cooling, Just a good Aftermarket CPU cooler should be good. As for the amount of ram i will need, That too is up to you guys. I will be using my rig for gaming mostly. And I rarely have more than two apps open at a time. I just want my games to butter smooth And I also don't need some crazy amount of storage either. 1 TB should be fine to start.
So Guys, Please help me out. I really need some solid advice because I will be using somebody reply in the next day or two to do the ordering. So please don't just throw in some comments unless you are serious and have good knowledge of what would make a great gaming desktop.
Thanx all, I can't wait to pull the trigger on the rig somebody proposes
Cheers

im thinking a couple 6950's or look for a used gtx580 to start with

a 2500k or see what dozer does in games? :)

a nice 60 giger for ssd, and a 2tb wd green for storage?

2x4 ddr3 of thine choice, and for mobo depends what cpu you get

for intel you could try a nice sabertooth?

psu, seasonic badged or built in the 850 or more if you want to run a second 580 later on.

Your budget is a little low for what you are trying to buid. I did some looking around and this is what I came up with. Some of the items are on sale, so act quickly. There is only one MIR to deal with. Mind you, there is no windows, mouse, keyboard or speakers included in this price. The case is nice as I have built 2 rigs with it for customers and has decent cable management.

Total is 1530.29 taxes included. -$20 for the MIR brings it to 1510.29. This is without any pricematching. I'm sure if you dig around, you can bring it below $1500.00. This is the best I could come up with.

Now that you don't have to answer to a wife, why not go for the gusto. Blow about 3 or 4 grand and have a ball.

Tell you right now, hold off untill you see what the bulldozer amd systems run like before throwing cash away on a intel rig. Especialy with the recent anouncment of them retiring cpu's around a year older now. It looks like there pushin for a once a year upgrade push on all intel users. Plus there stuff is prettmuch no diffrent then the previous gen stuff as well.
