This right here is likely the heart of your problems. Going from 775 to 1366 entails a massive number of changes from one mobo generation to the next.
Windows is likely hanging on boot and shut down as it loads / searches for drivers that are no longer part of your system. This can also cause BSODs, performance reductions, long boot times, slow program loading, etc.
