Agreed on both... Checking the PSU might be a good idea, OCZ isn't the most loved brand of PSU here.
Of course, getting an SSD would be an interesting uprade once those are done.

New PSU and new GPU , those i5-750 are still up to the task. You can always put a cooler on it and push it more if need is... my son one run at stock and drive a 480 on a 22" and it eat everything I throw at it

a 560/6950 will max out that monitor in most games, but not metro and crysis :)

Find a good used 5870 or see if you can get your hands on used 460s in SLI. I'd highly recommend also considering an Eyefinity setup.

Another thing that you may think about is to find a used 5750 and crossfire them. That PSU can most likely handle that, if not upgrade that as well. I have seen one for $75 on kijji, it should be about the same if you buy from someone in the BST.

Edit: what is your budget too? That could help.

Edit x2: what do you do that requires more power?

I agree with Dan 560ti or a 6950 over xfired 5750.

That's pretty much my setup but I run a 6950 and an ssd its solid got the I7 running at 3.8 and love it, contemplating my next upgrade..which i think will be eyefinity...maybe a ssd with a bit more speed...but i have debated that...no need for xfire atm....
