nope, the 3 gpus take up the bottom 6 slots and the thing is on the ROG maximus 4 extreme they put a molex connector on the very top where most other mobos have a pci-e 1x slot...

Get the 6950 2GB instead, at that high resolution, the extra memory is needed.

so sound card would not fit. do u guys think a sound card is a must for a sennheiser pc360? my heart is telling me yes. if so, would the giggabyte p67a-ud7 be a viable choice? i know the heatsinks in the way of the pcie x1 slot, but do u guys know if i can fit in a sound card when i get chipset watercooling?

or does anyone know if a riser would work?

Just saw the Vertex 3 120 GB SSD does exist on pre-order @ NCIX. Nice!

You can air cool this baby and keep it silent with the right gear.

Silverstone Raven 02 Evolution case, Noctua NHC14 cooler, and 3 MSI Twin Frozr III HD 6950 cards with fans manually set to low profile. This combo should overclock nicely and push all the hot air out with minimal noise.

You use PCI-E, you lose lanes. I don't know the details but that sums it up. Maximus and the following surprise has a soft version of the Creative sound blaster which should be enough for quality surround gaming, but LGA 1155 is not the kind of architecture you want for highest of high end Tri CF gaming and sound on one board. Simply can't have both on this budget architecture without comprimise to both. Wait for 6 months for LGA 1377 or whatever it's called for that.

Speaking of the surprise, if you were considering the Maximus with that price and still don't mind paying it, then skip the revolution and go for this one. Read man!
