So why bother with Win7 Professional? Other than that, looks like a really solid build.

i personally dont like the non-super-budget antec cases, but thats just me! Everything else looks nice and well balanced (although id personally opt for a higher rated PSU for CFX later down the road on a mobo+cpu like that, once again thats just me).

Edit:

I'd suggest the Lancook K62 or the 650D for a case. The Antecs don't have much in the way of cable management...

if I were to run another 6970 in crossfire in the future, would the Corsair HX1000 be a good PSU?

I would strongly advise if your looking to crossfire down the road, get a bigger case and a MB that'll allow you to space the cards apart for better air cooling.

Yes! Go up to Extreme6. As for the case I can add another recommendation, In Win Dragon Slayer.

I also think 6950s are a better value.

By the time the Vertex 3 comes out, Corsair's new budget TX PSU series will be out as well and might make this build sweeter.

man i love those lancool cases, such good value (my pc-k60 only cost me 40$ and was the best midtower ive owned so far...apart from the fact it had silver interior but who cares when no window and 40$ with 4x140mm fans...thats just the price of the fans) not to mention designed by lian-li

A 1000W PSU is way overkill unless you plan on tri-SLI/crossfire down the road. Your system as is won't break 500-550W with crossfire 6970. I also recommend the Lancool K-62 simply because it has better cable management. Another great case to consider is the Coolermaster 690 II (Basic or Advance). But if the Antec 900 outer appearance appeals to you..just choose something you won't mind looking at every day.
