ok sold my pc to buy a ps3 when it first came out...lol bad idea...build a 500 system in september it fried on boxing day lol ....power surge here north of the city...so here goes another build let me know what you guys think...

those are some old parts! I would have a hard time spending $300 on that knowing that you will have to spend more just to get it running the way you want. It sounds like you may be spending ~$150 more for a video card, psu and ram. That brings you to $450 and I say it would be wise to put that into better/new parts.

but doesnt the cpu overclock to like 3.5ghz and im not playing much games gonna hook it up to a 60' sony bravia 3d tv for my downloaded media files

you can get a nice i3 combo going...or even phenom II quad

it all depends on what youll do with it.

the i3 route will be around 200 bucks.

you may want to sav a little bit more for a 6850 or gtx 460.

not the se version,god forbid.

why not a nice 880 or 890 board? hell have video on board whenever he services or whatever the
