Default New pc build(small budget)

NZXT Gamma Mid Tower Case
500gb HDD
Standard dvd drive
EVGA 460gtx SE
x4 955 BE
Biostar A780L3L AMD 760G Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3, AMD 760G Chipset, DDR3 1600MHz
2x2gb 12800 Kingston memory kit
DiabloTek PHD550 550-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA Ready, PCIe Ready, 20+4 Pin

Would I be able to play most games on max on a 1920x1080 monitor? I'm also wondering whether I can overclock the 460gtx on this power supply, or if its a better idea to A. Get a higher watt power supply, B. Sli 9800gt akimbos which are only $50 a card

Thanks in advance :D

*Edit
All of this is from TigerDirect.com
The 460gtx se is now $160 and theres a refurbished Super Clocked 460 gtx for only $150.
BTW I'm talking about the 1gb version because I know the 768mb wouldn't be sufficient for gaming on 1920x1080 monitor.

Buy at ncix, do pricematch, give the price...
Don't take a 460 SE.

I'm from NJ
But the 460 SC is cheaper so that will be my choice most likely. This comes below my budget just wondering whether it will be sufficient for gaming.

It does come to $525 after shipping and rebate.

Well, if your location was written I would know.
The SE version is a weaker version of the 460 1Gb.

The motherboard you chose have a maximal thermal design support of 95Watts, the x4 955 BE use 125Watts. Take a athlon II x4 640.

ditch the psu, get an antec earthwatts or something better.

depending on your games, and quality setttings chose the above cards will not make it in all
scenarios. you would need something stronger.like a 560,570.more expensive though.
get an 880 board.

I agree get an 880 mobo I know it's more expensive but it's definately needed.

Also I posted on your thread in the video card page with hoefully some helpful advice.

Ditto on the DO NOT GET THE 460 SE... that thing won't let you play max settings... A single GTX 460 1GB is a really good price if you shop around and offers way better performance than the SE version.

Yep, if you plan to o/c both the CPU and GPU, I'd get at least 600w, maybe 650w to be safe. I can't really comment on Biostar mobos, but I am always hesitant about the 'cheap' brand. I've heard some people give biostar good raves, and other say it's cheap ****.

Yep, if you do a little shopping around, you can definitely get a better PSU for a good price. Does NCIXUS.com - Great Technology, Selection and Service. not do price matching?

On the video card forum they told me how bad the 460 gtx se was and now the 460 gtx SC is on sale(its refurbished idc) so I'll take that instead. I'm sorry spike I didn't mean it like that(I'm just immature like that), but thanks anyways didn't know that. I'm planning on investing in the future and getting a motherboard with 2 pci express x16 slots. How's this one?

Newegg.com - MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
and they told me to stay away from that brand psu. So how bout this, its ultra brand and from the reviews it can't be that bad.
Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, SLI-Ready, 135mm Fan, Lifetime Warranty w/ Registration at TigerDirect.com

Also, I'm just going to overclock the card, not really gonna go into overclocking the cpu, with the thermal paste from the stock cooler not being the best. As in max I mean max settings minus all the AA, etc. But that's the bad thing cause after playing the Crysis 2 demo they only have 3 settings and no advanced settings to tick off whats not needed.
