Default Tight budget what to do?

Ok, I'm putting together a new system and I'd like to be able to overclock it but I'm on a very tight budget, here is what I have so far, please let me know if you see a bottleneck anywhere or something thats not going to work.

What is your budget to begin with and where have you been looking at your pricing for parts so far?

For the time being, I really don't see a need to upgrade that system.

you may focus on cpu cooling, unless you forgot to list the third party cooler? :)

hr-02 for top end, v6gt a bit down and dirt cheap a cm 212+

1. Shopbot.ca is your friend or the hardware canucks price tool both are pretty good.
2. Checkout the Buy and Sell section

Also we will need to know what your spending budget is to recommend anything. What you already have is pretty good.

If you plan on overclocking, you may as well buy a cheaper Phenom II X4 BE and pocket the saved cash or put it towards other parts of the system. Depending on what you'll be doing with the system, you could even step down all the way to a 550/555 BE X2. Chances are you'd be able to unlock to at least a tri-core and get some decent clocks.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize that the 975 is what you already have. As others have said, there is likely no reason for you to upgrade. Of course, you didn't list your GPU, so there might be a viable upgrade option there.

I agree with what's been said a few times already: if your budget is tight, the good news is that you don't need to upgrade. You may consider an SSD or -- depending on your existing card -- a new video card for good bang for the buck performance increases.
