Is it safe to fold SATA cables?

I've never had any issues folding them. Just don't be too aggressive I suppose.

People commonly curl them as well without issues.

They're technically not supposed to bent past a 90 degree angle.

However, manufacturers fold them up for packaging all the time, and I have yet to come across a DOA cable. I try not to bend them at sharp angles though, as the wires inside are a little brittle.

To twist a sata cable.. get a long screw driver, stick or whatever you have.. and then just twist it tightly around it.

Thanks guys! I'm finding it hard to hide those bright blue Gigabyte SATA cables in my black case with no cheats (Elite 430)

I've folded my SATA cables with no issues but I leave a pinky finger gap at the bend. Maybe less. lol
