DDR3 RAM prices have dropped drastically in the past couple of months. The link you have is most likely from an old SKU. Check again on NCIX...I was able to find theirs for around $50.

Also, are you planning on buying a second graphics card in the future? At max your system will consume 350W, which is why I opted for the 650W PSU. It's also a more efficient PSU than Corsair's TX series. Jonnyguru has a review on this exact unit.

I wasn't able to find the same memory at NCIX for a lower price. Similar, but not the same. I admit that my knowledge of memory isn't very good, so I'm hesitant to pick something else without knowing if it's better or worse.

I wasn't planning on a second video card. I will read over that review and perhaps change the PS then.

I want to order this tomorrow, it's killing me not being able to play my games. lol

you can always build intel. a 2500k is around 220-230 bucks, mate it to the manufacturer's board of your choice, p67
chipset, and same ram you wanted lets say. but lower voltage the better.

The build looks fine; you can even keep your 750W power supply for using two video cards, as long as you don't go insane like 2x GeForce GTX 580 overclocked.

You can save $20 by getting a Phenom II X4 955, which is the same as the 965 minus 1 on the multiplier:
NCIX.com - Buy AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core Processor 3.2GHZ AM3 8MB Cache 125W Retail Box - AMD - HDZ955FBGMBOX - in Canada

Although given it's a Black Edition processor you can just go into BIOS and slightly overclock the multiplier up to the 965's speed without problems (unless you cripple your cooling or something).

The third kit you linked will do you well.

edit- Except it looks like that kit is on Back Order I hate when they put stuff they don't have stock on the sale page. This one will work just as well NCIX.com - Buy Corsair XMS3 CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 4GB DDR3 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Core i5 Dual Channel Memory Kit - Corsair - CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 - in Canada

It's a shame you need a rig right now. Sandy Bridge offers such an impressive performance boost that I think it would be irresponsible to recommend a different platform. In March, dual-core, Hyper-Threaded, Sandy Bridge-based Core i3-2300 and Core i3-2320 will beat anything below $200 out there, including the PhenomII X4 965, for only $130. They are extremely powerful gaming processors for the price.

Assuming you will go the Sandy Bridge i3 route, and do with one mid-end graphics card, a good quality 450~500W PSU will be enough and still have room for overclocking.

Also assuming that you will stick to your 1080 single display, any card containing over 1GB of RAM won't give you any noticeable improvements. So any card between $150~250 in the following order (GXT4601MB=HD6850< HD6870< HD6950 1GB=GTX 560) will be good. Asus GTX 560 Direct CUII looks like the best of them. It is possible that games using 2GB will come out before the year end but that's your call.

Too soon to recommend a motherboard. So far the Asus P67 looks like a winner. For memory your last option seems like the best value. For a case CM912, Inwin Dragonslayer, Thermaltake Armor A90

What about HDD? How big? How fast?

That memory kit says not available either. :(

I really have no idea what is good or not for memory and would appreciate any advice on what to look for so I can find one that is available.

I had a friend look at this for me and suggested this memory. I checked the Asus site for the motherboard and it's listed as supported and in my price range. NCIX has it is stock as well, this is the price match for it:

Kingston ValueRAM KVR1333D3N9K2/4G PC3-10666 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1333 CL9 240PIN DIMM Memory Kit - DirectCanada

I changed to the 650watt PS and price matched a few more dollars off and the whole thing, including tax is about $980, with free shipping I think (I haven't hit checkout yet). I will be ordering this afternoon, unless anyone shouts at me to stop and change something quickly.
