Hi, when attaching the internal connections for the front panel, does the polarity of the connectors matter? I cant seem to see anywhere on the connectors where the polarity is marked, unless there is a colour wire convention I am not aware of - each of the paired wires has a white and another colour. If it does matter, is the white pos or neg?

Thanks again in anticipation.

Chris

The colored wires should be positive, with white being the negative. Polarity does not matter on Power and Reset connections, but any HDD or LED connections must be hooked up correctly or the light won't work.

As myself and SugarJ said.. it does matter. Polarity matters with LEDs in computer cases.

Great, so my system powers up and goes through the post, but while I am setting the system time, it powers itself down for some reason. If I power it up again, it starts up quite willingly but then it powers itself down again after a few minutes. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

Thanks!

Chris

perhaps its warming up to the point of thermal shutdown?
or not all power plugs are properly secured?
could be a short too, but that wouldnt explain the powering up.
