You will probably get a different answer from everyone who folds. For starters, do you have a rig now and what kind of budget do you have?

if you can find a mobo for it, go with a 2500/2600k cpu from intel.

if not,you can gpu fold but it gets lesser ppd/kwh

Default x2 5000+

i currently have a dual core amd x2 5000+ 2gb ddr 2 onboard gpu
i used to be into online gaming back in the q6600 days but fell out of the loop when me and
my wife splitt up now were back togeather and im feeling like im missing somthing
need some overclocking and benching in my life mabe some more online gaming

on the cheap i always recommend the i3 route. whoever disses those crotchrockets

hasnt tried one. if your budget allows, as per above, go higher if you find a retail mobo
