jcmaz, so far as i see... they are almost similar in gaming area...

of course about 3gb ram... honestly 2gb is enough for him...

here is the i3 list...

i3 550
msi p55a-g55
200cdn

cm hyper 212+ 30cdn
wd 640 black 60cdn
silverstone ps04b 35cdn
pioneer dvd-rw 30cdn

well i cant find a decent ram... so corsair xms3 seems nice set... its 4gb for 41cdn tho... NCIX.com - Buy Corsair XMS3 TW3X4G1333C9A 4GB 2X2GB PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9-24 240PIN Memory Kit - TW3X4G1333C9A In Canada.

he also said... take gtx 560 if not then gtx 460 for 150...

tx650w is nice... except price... hmmm.... how about xfx? antec? cm? or other? there is a 60cdn for ocz but i heard the rumor about terrible quality of psu...

total is 475(minus tax) without gpu

so it seems good... to me... agree? but i hope it will last more than 5 years >_>;

thanks again...

Yeah, supposedly the i3 overclocks better than the E8400.

Yeah, if you're willing to do the MIR process, $75 is an okay price, but you can find cheaper from other brands that aren't quite as focused on quality, as the 5 year warranty on the TX points out. As I said, I'm no expert in PSUs... I'd check out JonnyGURU.com - Antec HCP-850 850W Review to see if he has a review for any PSU that interests you. He's considered one of the top in depth places to go for complete reviews.

Paying $30 for an optical drive seems pointless when you can get tons of good ones for $20... does this one have some magical feature that's not in every other optical drive? LG Super-Multi 22x DVD Writer, SATA, Black (OEM) at Memory Express Computers

Pay $41 for 4GB of RAM is great considering I just paid $30 for 2GB of Kingston value ram (DDR3)

Why pay $20 to go from (540) 3.06 Ghz to (550) 3.2 Ghz? That 140 Mhz bump doesn't seem to be worth $20 to me. That's 104.6% performance for 118.5% the price... not a very good deal (especially considering that you can push it to 3.2 with no voltage tweaks).

ok i will consider lg since i know nothing about them ( i dont have them on my computers ;p) i just heard that pioneer did good job... and reliablie...

well it was combo deal...

if not then

i3 540 for 107

i like gigabyte so ga-p55a-ud3 for 110

but combo deal seems best to offer than buy p55a-ud3 + i3 540 (217)
