Default What to Do

Ok so i have a dilemma. I have a atom system i am not sure what to do with. I don't really need a another file server already got one of those. I was going to turn it into a PBX but feel this is overkill ATM. Been toying with turning it into maybe a firewall (smoothwall or pfsense). Any other ideas ?

You could turn it into an HTPC unless that what you meant by PBX.

I thought PBX was a phone system for Voip? Or can it be used for normal phones?

My vote goes to uber fast routerbox.

You can make it a mail server for your @( this is now able to made by you)
but i tought you need a own web page or something like that
so do some research if you think that's a good idea.

a PBX is a phone systems. Currently i use VOIP. However if i wanted to i could connect it to a POTS phone line but would need a line card (start around $500) for a good one. My plan is to use ip phones when i get a home. I would consider the mail server idea except that where i am at currently is rogers and they block ports and i don't want to deal with port forwarding.

I have two of these Intel Atom mobos ... the 1st one is a file server but the 2nd one has been used for many builds ... Kitchen computer built on the back of a monitor - kids room homework system - TV computer and most recently a download system since it only uses about 25 watts once booted up. Very handy piece of kit to have and small when using PICO power supply.
