My System Specs

Default my new build (plz give me some suggestions and opinions)

I'm planning on building a new rig. It would be great if I could get some suggestions and opinions from you.




CPU:
AMD Phenom II X6 1075T

6x 3000 MHz, 6x 512 kB, 6144 kB, Thuban

CPU Cooler:
stock

Motherboard:
ASRock 870 Extreme3

AMD 870, ATX, 2x PCIe x16 v2.0, AM3

Video Card:
XFX HD5850 Black Edition (HD-585X-ZABC)

ATI Radeon HD5850, 1024 MB, 256 Bit, PCIe x16 v2.0, PCIe x16 v2.1

Memory:
GeIL 4 GB DDR3-1600 Kit

4096 MB, CL8 8-8-24, 2 stuk(s), PC3 12800

Hard Drive:
Seagate ST32000542AS

Power Supply:

XFX PRO750W Core Edition

Case:
Aerocool Vx-e Pro LE


so is it a good configuration or do i need to change something?

howdy and welcome. what are you going to use the pc for?

overall choices look ok for a id end system, i would go however with a gigabyte 870a or 880/890 motherboard.

for gpu, 6850. or 6950 if we rework your budget.

perhaps a 64 gig ssd for boot and a 1-2tb for storage?

is what you meant?
Im watching later for the 6850 and 6950

and no im not going to get a ssd because theyre to expencive for now and its out of butget

but yes it was a good sugestion.

Ps i nearly forgot im going to use it for gaming and conferting movies. And its meant to be for the next 4 years :D

you do not need 750w psu, good 650w psu is perfectly enough.

i have take a view of the 6850 and the 6950 and i think im going to get the 6850
SAPPHIRE HD6850 TOXIC
AMD Radeon HD6850, 1024 MB, 256 Bit, PCIe x16 v2.0, PCIe x16 v2.1

Id get the XFX 850 if its on sale. I saw it on NCIX for $129.99 a few days ago. NVM, its back up to $144.99.

Although, bestdirect.ca have it for $129.79

Prolab mentioned it but the XFX Black Edition is a better PSU overall and 650w is enough even for 6850 CF. Downgrading to 4-core CPU and upgrading GPU to 69xx would give you overall better gaming performance. Good luck!
