Default Anyone planning a Black & Gold rig?

It just occured to me that for (possibly) the first time ever you could actually build an entire system with colour matching Black and Gold components:

Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A-UD7
Memory: OCZ Gold XTE DDR3-2133 4GB Kit
Graphics Card: Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom
Storage: Chaintech Apogee FlashSSD A-series
Sound card: ASUS Xonar Essence STX
Power Supply: Enermax MODU87+ 700W/800W/900W

Now we just need to find a matching heatsink and case...

Anyone dare to tackle this build?

Finally somebody at Gigabyte got sick of the fruit-loop colour scheme.

That is the prettiest Gigabyte board I have seen in ages. The sinks on it remind me of a Duracell battery.

Just some suggestions...

why not mod the case to have gold accents in different spots, and

for the heatsink, why not mod it too, by giving it a light layered gold spray painted top.

It would be an awesome project to say at the least

How bout this? BL2CP25664FN1869CEU - 4GB kit (2GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM , DDR3 PC3-14900 from Crucial.com GB

and the upcoming Fractal Arc?

Now we just need a gold plated CPU heatsink, that won't be expensive at all

I won gold-plated Dominators once:

Only 5 sets of these were ever made. The non-gold stuff retailed for $800 at the time.

I had the ram a week and had to RMA them. Got sent back regular $800 ram....

I'm not trying to be clever: but that's honestly a really cool story, bro.

Gold would really add some "bling" to a computer Next we gotta have fans with spinners, and maybe hydraulics to make them go up and down?

Well, I'm kinda planning to do one, wouldn't like to disclose all the details, but it's more about the accents.

ENERMAX PSU with a gold fan is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about a black and gold rig. Now that's expensive, and aren't we all Corsair fans? ;)

Actually, it all goes like this:get an EVGA, which is always black (surprising, isn't it?), go for gold and black sleeving, you'll have to put up with some red accents on the EVGA, however, if it's a X58 board - SATA 3 ports are red on the X58 boards and Classy is red per se.

Gold plated fittings - such a rig *must* be watercooled. Heatkiller - not quite gold, but yellow anyway, let's see..... yes, it's actually golden. Or you could opt in for a silver mirror-like surface waterblock, that would be even nicer.

Fans? Anybody know some serious gold-wing fans?

Now after having thought about it, I've come to the conclusion that the best variant is actually dark gray with deep black framing/outlining and gold accents. How should you acomplish this, is a question. Now I've obviously given you an idea, but please, reserve that for me, if that's possible (at all). Would really like to try and build something like that, although I have another rig coming, built with quite the opposite colrs in mind.
