hmmm..if you really want the psu to last you(in terms of power) then get an 850, try to score an m12d on super special(was 99 at ncix and boy i got some more)

Just wanted to come back and say thanks for the help.

I used the same hardware as in the original post except I went with the i5 750 and a caviar black.

I wanted a midrange machine that was powerful and quiet, and it is definately quiet. As suggested, I will probably replace the fan on the cpu heatsink as it is the only thing I hear from the machine even under stress, though it is not a dire need. The case is def awesome.

The EVGA GTX 460 1gb is a rock. Idles at about 25-30 C and maxs at 50 under stress. The fan rarely goes above 30%.

And I guess I was lucky for a first build. Except for forgetting to plug in the CPU on first boot, everything went smooth.
