Min PSU for this build.

Hi.

I was wandering if a CoolerMaster Silent Pro 850W Bronze is enough for my new build.

Intel Core I7 950 3.06Ghz
ASUS Sabertooth X58
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB -TR3X6G1600C8D-
GIGABYTE GV-N460OC-1GI GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM

It will be placed on a COOLER MASTER ATCS 840, with all the extra fans.
I'm not planning on overclocking anything, it should be more than enough for my gaming needs, as i'm not a fan of FPS.

The PSU is enough or maybe is too much?

I have a that PSU in my build currently after my Strider quit. It will be plenty of power, with room for possible SLI in the future.

If that doesn't supply enough then there's something wrong with it. It should be more than enough, even with a bunch of HDDs.

Lol dude, your build will take aruond 350W of power under A FULLY TOTAL CARZY load so...you`ll be fine.

howdy and welcome aboard maite

lets do some math

the cpu will eat around 130 watts
add another 50 for mobo
your gpu around 110-150watts
lets give it another 25 watts because of the fans

and the psu does a decent ~800 watts on the 12 rail.

lets add another 100 watts for overclocking purposes. hell lets add another 150 f0r a second card in sli

even then you will be very ok.

Thanks a lot guys, i sometimes go a little over my head, but i think is better to over then under :)

I'll see the difference between the 850W to 700W so i can ease my wallet.

if youre going for single card, why not an antech earthwatts 500 watter? itll do close to 400 watts on the 12v rail :)

A decent PSU around 550w should do. Corsair and OCZ are my preferred brands.
