hey, im planning on building a htpc, and i've been looking through a few cases and stumbled on the Aerocool Qx-2000, i was looking at the nmedia 1000b first but i noticed that it can only take optical drives, so i had to change direction. I need a case that i can install a hotswap drive bay in. Can anyone tell me if the aerocool case can take full drives instead of just optical, or will i have to choose a different case.If so, what would you suggest?
Well first of all the nmedia doesn't ONLY have 5.25IN bays (optical as you call it), it has four 3.5in bays(hard drives). That hotswap bay you linked is made for putting into 5.25in bays(optical), in which case the Nmedia only has one, so if you're planning on having the hotswap bay and a DVD drive then that case won't work for you. Looks like the Aerocool has two 5.25in bays if you need, but only two 3.5in. Other than that not sure what you're really asking?
Why not looking at better case like silverstone??
NCIX.com - Buy Silverstone Grandia GD05B Black HTPC mATX Desktop Case 1X5.25 2X3.5INT 1X2.5INT 3X120MM Fan No PS - GD05B In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Silverstone Lascala LC17B Black ATX HTPC Case 2X5.25 1X3.5 6X3.5INT W/ 2X80MM Case Fan - LC17B In Canada.
I have the Silverstone GD05B as the chassis for my HTPC and can recommend it without hesitation.
A quick warning, nMedia's quality control might just be the crappiest on earth.
On the other hand, Silverstone cases are amazing.
Just an FYI!

Silverstone Grandia GD05B FTW.... if you're looking for something different the Antec Fusion 430 are awesome too.
