My System Specs

Default General use, desktop computer, built

Hi there, i currently have a laptop as a second computer and it's a POS LOL! I'am not going laptop again since i don't care about portability.

My main need are :

Internet Browsing, Office works (Word, Excel), 1080p video decoding (h264 either from Youtube or from my HD camera), NO GAMING AT ALL as i have my SLI rig for that.

- I don't really care about video card brand for that, i just want some video acceleration, if possible. A nice dual core+ CPU. I know Intel, not a AMD specialist at all. And i use a SSD as boot drive because i want one (it's a must for me :) Here what i came too at DirectCanada.

You could make a AMD suggestion for the CPU if the price is similar or lower, the Case is optional, i already have a Matx case available, but i find this one cool (silverstone).

looking good. try to fit a corsair 400 watt psu instead. but if you go amd you can drop an x4 in there. it will eat a bit more power, but for multithreaded operations its better, cheaper too. mobo wise giga all the way, which one i would say perhaps an 880? ud2-3

Everything is looking good. The power supply is fine, but if a 400w Corsair is about the same price, yeah go with that instead. OCZ's MIRs take forever anyway.
