My System Specs

Default Super Budget Build

I jumped the gun the other day cuz I couldn't live without a gaming PC. Built for myself about the cheapest half decent PC I could. Stats:

Athlon II x2 645 @ 3.45 GHz
Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H mATX
XFX 5770 1 GB
2 GB Kingston DDR3 1066
500 GB WD HDD
HAF 912 - great case for $65. It only comes with 2 fans stock, but I installed 4 more and since a game with headphones I got them all cranked to get a stiff breeze running through there.

I'm very impressed with the Athlon II 645. at 3.45 GHz and a slight voltage bump it's still running at under 50 degress with the stock cooler. I've got a monstrous air cooler to throw on that my buddy gave to me, but he forgot the AM3 brackets, but until then it's still a great OC'er

nice nice but you couldve done better for budget :)

make sure to fold it. what temps are you getting? the new chips are c3 if im not mistaken, thus 3.6-3.7 whereas previously 3.4-3.5 wouldve been tops, on same juice/temps. this on non phenom chips, those do better.

Well I only paid 400 including tax for everything. The GPU was my friends, I gave him my old 5850 and he gave me a hundred plus the 5770, so technically I only paid 300.

Performance wise it's pretty good. I run SC2 on a mix of medium, high, and ultra settings at 1920x1080. I set the CPU stressful stuff to medium or high, and the GPU stressing stuff is at ultra. Run ME2 on max settings, haven't tried anything else out yet.

I may get medal of honour in the next few days, but I'm still looking into how the reviews play out

I actually enjoy having a lower end PC vs the higher end ones I had in the past. It makes for nice challenge for max OC's and graphic settings that are actually required and do something vs having a PC that can max everything no problem :P

Dual core is definitely showing, especially in SC2. On my Mac Pro it loads all 8 cores up
