Default [Solved] Corsair TX650w, Can I SLI this.

Hey guys.

Recently just finished putting together my new system.
Old: Q6700, P35-DS3L, 4GB DDR2-800, 5850, TX650w, x25-M G2 80gb, storage
New: i7-930, P6X58D-E, 3x2GB DDR3-1600 CL9, ", ", ", "

I was wondering, will the TX650w be able to handle 2x GTX460 1gb's? (MSI Cyclone OC ones probably)

I'm not sure exactly how to calculate how it will be able to handle it.
The corsair has 52a on the +12v rail. I THINK the GTX 460 requires a minimum of 24a. Does that mean it requires 48a in SLI?
(I do not plan to overclock the cards)

Now if it can handle it, will 2x GTX 460's stress my PSU? or will it remain efficient enough to not deter from it's performance?

Great!

Just a quick final question.

The TX650w only has 2x PCIe connectors so i will need to use a couple of adapters in this case.

Is there any disadvantages to my cards and/or performance by doing this?

Now I just need to sell my 5850.. lol

Absolutely no disadvantage in my opinion.

mr turtle, as per above you shall be fine. why, may you ask?

well, your psu does very well on the 12v rail

and your 460's in normal games should be around the 220-230 watt mark, or rather 300 furmarked

which leaves you quite some room for everything else and some.
