Default first time build, around $1000

Hi all

I'm looking to put a computer together and I wanted some feedback on what I've picked out.

here's the info:
1. PC for games, light office work, internet
2. budget is $1000
3. buying from Canada (Ncix)
4. Intel processor, nVidia card
5. Potential to over-clock in the future
6. plan to purchase in a few weeks
7. current monitor is at 1440x900 but i plan to upgrade to a 22in later on

Here's what I've come up with:
CPU - Intel Core i5 760 Quad Core Processor Lynnfield LGA1156 2.8GHZ 8MB Cache Retail Box
MOBO -MSI P55A-G55 P55 ATX LGA1156 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI SLI CrossFireX SATA3 USB3.0
RAM - G.SKILL F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH Ripjaws PC3-10666 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1333 CL7-7-7-21 Core i5 1.5V Memory Kit
GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 460 Fermi Cyclone OC 725MHZ 1024MB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI DX11 PCI-E
PSU - Seasonic S12II 620W EPS12V 20/24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 80+ Bronze 6+8PIN PCI-E W/ 120MM Fan
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM
DVD - ASUS DRW-24B1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer OEM Black
CASE - Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower Gaming Case 300 ATX 3X5.25 6X3.5INT No PS Front USB & Audio

This is my first build so I'd appreciate any feedback. I"m really just learning as a go along. What do you guys think? Also, i'm trying to get NCIX to price match memoryexpress on the i5 760. It's on sale for 199.99. Do you think it will work?

Instead of Antec 300, you might wanna wait for the HAF 912. It's the same price, but I think better.

Honestly...I think that is an excellent build. I am sure there will be some brand preference opinions, and some people complaining about the antec 300 (I think its an awesome budget case for cooling...it is just hard for cable management). You would be very satisfied with this build as is. Maybe grab 2x 120mm fan for the front and your good to go. Nice job.

if you cut some corners you may fit 2 gtx 460's in there, giving you a whole lot more in terms of games performance.

just get regular 1600mhz ram, a duallie..:)

Any idea when this case comes out? I don't want to wait too long. I'm not exactly in love with how it looks but I'm sure it will grow on me.

I will have NCIX assemble it so they can worry about the intial cable management, but that's good to know for future reference. Can u recommend a fan that i should go with? i would prefer one that isn't too loud or expensive. Will i see much of a difference if i don't get additional fans?

I was planning on going sli in the future if/when I need to. I mainly play SC2, team fortress 2, Left 4 dead 2, etc. i think one gtx 460 is enough for now.

i really would want to do it myself, but school is starting up soon and I don't see my self having the time. Kinda want to just get it up and going asap.

Takes me a little over 4 hours from Box to running with and OS installed.

So if it took you 2 days to build, Thats too long?

I recommend Yate Loon fans as intake. (The blue LED ones if you want LED or the black/red ones) The black/red ones are sometimes on sale @ NCIX, just don't use the included screws. They strip easily.

For the side fan, I recommend the GELID Silent 12 PWM or the 1000RPM ones. They include rubber grommets which reduce vibration, hence noise. Plus they are very quiet as well.
