Clearly you saw my thread, this is really similar to what I had

Try the Aerocool VS-9 case, lots of good features for not a lot of money.
Make sure you get the "EE" version of that card.

thats quite a mid end for amd buils, not budget at all :)

goo choices, altough the quads inbetween cheap duallies and hexa core. so if its strictly a gaming machine, may not be needed.

plz get an antec earthwatts or corsair ps.

case, under 40 bucks pm'ed ps04b or perhaps a 90 dollar cm 922?

also may want to give the 870a from giga a look, monster clocker. too bad you missed the newegg 120 890fx msi error pricing ;)

1. I would get a Phenom X6 1055T instead of the X4 965.

2. That PSU is a very bad choice. If you have a preferred retailer to purchase from, tell me what it is and I'll recommend something good for you.

3. 2000MHz RAM is pretty overkill. I would save a few bucks and go down to a 1600MHz kit instead.

4. Double-check that EVGA card, because the description says lifetime warranty but the product number says TR, which means it has a two-year warranty.

Drop that expensive ASUS mobo and get the Gigabyte 870G mobo.

Garbage power supply. Get one from Antec/Seasonic/Corsair. The Antec Truepower 650W can be had for < $80 with MIR.

What Zero82z said. Get DDR3-1600 kit. The DDR3-2000 are extremely overkill for AMD chips. Corsair/G.Skill 4GB kits can be bought for ~$100

Get the AR version of the EVGA card.

Get a WD Black 640GB hard drive. It's fast and quite big :)

A CM 212+ for CPU cooler. Only $30 and cools like a champ.

You still need a DVD drive. They are ~$25 each.

I like the Silverstone PS05 or wait for the Coolermaster HAF912 coming in September.

what you mean with overkill? im sorry i have bad english... you mean it will not work well with the amd cpu? or that its just too much and i wont need that much.. the problem is i think that that motherboard only supports 2000mhz dd3 memory ive been looking for a mobo that supports ddr3 sli and am3 cpus since i cant afford a good intel that can compare to the phenom ii 965 atlease not for the same price range..

maybe i can upgrade to the amd 1055t x6 will it make a biig difference? please keep me posted i cant wait to build my rig. thanks

Overkill means it's more than you need, and you would be spending more money for something that does not benefit you.

ok... only problem is i already ordered the mobo... the Asus M4N98TD Evo... actually is the only part i have ordered since is extremely difficult for me to order since i live in dominican republic... and all sellers (tigerdirect, amazon, etc ) are giving me problems to ship to different adress than billing adress etc..

can someone please tell me if the Asus M4N98TD Evo only supports 2000mhz ram or am i mistaken?

Asus M4N98TD EVO Motherboard - Socket AM3, NForce 980a SLI, ATX, RAID, SATA, Gbit LAN, Hybrid SLI at TigerDirect.com

it says memory supported - 2000mhz ddr3

It will support memory UP TO DDR3-2000. Any DDR3-1333, -1600, -1866 or -2000 memory should work, although you may want to stick to memory from the Asus Qualified Vendor List to make sure.

not only you will be fine, but also one of the very few who have ordered that motherboard. it would be nice to let a couple of 460's rip in sli on it and the numbers it would pump out :)
