Ok guys, here is what I am thinking of purchasing, would love to hear opinions on which way to go, intel or amd, which would you choose based on the items below?

here is what i am ready to pull the trigger on:

Intel solution:

video card: 298.99+11.49
Newegg.ca - XFX HD-585X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

combo ram/mobo:799.98
Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

processor:303.97+4.99
Newegg.ca - Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80601930

Any suggestions on cooling solution that uses air?

AMD build:

IMHO Dont go with that video card. pick uip one with an external exhaust like this: NCIX.com - Buy XFX Radeon HD 5850 725MHZ 1GB GDDR5 4.0GHZ 2XDVI HDMI Display Port DIRECTX11 PCI-E Video Card - HD-585A-ZNFC In Canada.

Also, that ram wont work with the AMD build. you need dual channel memory for the AMD, but what you got there is triple channel

Also I agree with the CM Hyper 212 for a good heatsink. just make sure to pick up some good fans as well

ok, stupid question, but it is DDR3 RAM right? which does work with amd am3 890fx chipset.
So does it matter if they call it tripple channel kit? all it is is 3 identical sticks, hence "tripple channel kit".
Or am i missing something here?
and dual channel is like 2 identical sticks of RAM.
right?

DDR3 is the only thing that works on the 800-series chipset, HOWEVER IT MUST BE DUAL CHANNEL!!!!!!

if it says triple channel, it wont work with AMD systems

and yes dual channel is 2 sticks of ram
