not a great of the 470's bang per buck.
same with the antec case. look for a lianli or cooler master in the price range +-10-20 bucks

corsair,seasonic for psu

edit maybe a PS05B as well for choice.

+1 for the Corsair,Seasonic PSU's and CM cases!

I would go for a Corsair HX650 as its modular, meaning easier cable management over non-modular units as you only use what cables you need.

For cases I suggest looking at a CM 690 II, Basic or Advanced, or a HAF 922 or 932.

With your ram, I recommend going with G Skill, Corsair, Mushkin or Patriot.

For your video card, you can stay with the 470, but I would recommend going with either of the EVGA GeForce GTX460 versions, the 768MB or 1GB for better bang for buck as _dangtx_ was leading up to.

Everything else looks good, good luck with your build

You have picked a triple channel ram kit for a dual channel board. A popular pick for ram are the G-Skill ripjaw series. The 470 is a solid card but the 460 is a better value for slightly less performance. I would go with a Coolermaster Cm690 II case, a good value.

Maybe consider the Xeon X3440 processor for the Hyper Threading...

basically clock it well and you get a 470 or so. of course power figures will go up, not a lot if you dont touch vgpu

I agree with the others. The psu Corsair. Video card EVGA 460 1gb. Case Coolermaster 922/932. Memory Mushkin, Patriot,Corsair or G Skill. Mushkin is my preference.

Good luck with the build and enjoy the new system!

If the number of RAM slots on the board is a multiple of three then it supports triple-channel memory. Otherwise, it doesn't. Also, right now only LGA1366 motherboards have triple-channel RAM support.
