My new build, opinions?

What is your opionions of my new rig?
Where is the bottleneck? Weakest part in my computer.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
EVGA 470 "Superclocked"
Gigabyte 890FX-UD5
WD Caviar Black 1tb, 64mb cache.
Corsair 7-7-7-20 1333MHz Memory. 4-8gb
Coolermaster 750W PSU.

All put together in a HAF 922.

Its a good setup, though I would consider and change some items.

I would change out the CM750W for a Corsair unit for a HX750 or 850, depending if you've got dual video card setup in mind for later on. Also I recommend the HX series for easier cable management due to them being a modular unit

Talking about dual video cards, if you want that to happen then your better off going with an ATI card instead of an NVidia card as you can't do SLI on an amd motherboard, you can only CrossFire. I would suggest getting a 5870, I would go with XFX as they have a double lifetime warranty and great customer service.

Also don't forget a cpu cooler, like Cooler Master's Hyper 212 Plus. It's an excellent 1 fan cpu cooler for $30 and for $10 more you can add a 2nd fan for a push/pull setup.

I have been using Corsair PSU for ages, currently a 520HW.
Just wanted to try if a Coolermaster was worth anything, but I guess ill stay Corsair, quality is top!

This MB dont support SLi, only Crossfire, but I dont consider any duel later on.


If there is a bottleneck, what would it be?

swap that mobo for the 870a unless you need al lthe bells and whistles. gtx470...hmm......

Everything looks pretty good. The only thing i would suggest is to look at the GTX 460's 1GB less heat and power consumption then the GTX 470.

If you can afford a HAF922 but skimp out on the PSU then smack yourself in the head. I would get a crappy case and make sure my PSU is up to snuff.

Its not brought yet, I have been told to go with a ASrock MB with the ability to go 1600MHz memory.

I can go Corsair PSU, seems like that whats most is telling me, and about the GFX.
I can either go 5850, 5870, 460 or 470?

As noted above go for a different psu, here are a few choices known to be good quality. The OCZ is overkill but a good price. The GTX470 is a solid gpu if you can get a good deal on it, the GTX460 is close to it in performance if overclocked. Make sure you shop sales and pricematch for your best deal.
