If you can afford 2 GTX 460s you can afford a $250 motherboard.

Don't be cheap.

well you can either install the modded drivers or go about modifying the hal...its like a file that if done wrong/corrupted will mess windows up

if it works and you get it going on a sub 100 mobo? very nice. get 1 460 if it works out get a second

250 can be expensive for a mobo if budget is tight. also dont forget the price of cpu associated with intel builds :)

Im Asian... cost of living here waaay more expensive... im not cheap. tried so many ways to go with intel but dual over triple channel mem is cheaper and is enuf for gaming. ouh yeah Im trying to future proof my mobo.. sata 6, USB3.0.... until intel comes out with their own versions.. but it'll be waaaay outta my budget.

but thanks for the input anyways.

Have you considered an i7 with an 1156 p55 chipset?

hhmmm.. yes I have considered p55 with i5 but... AMD's quad cores are more of a bargain. and im gonna game and maybe create a few sandbox games, so dun really need that much of horsepower from intel... besides .. i dunno weather to believe the urban legends but... AMDs cpu are 'supposedly' better to play games with rather than intel's, due to the larger L2 cache size, no? but yeah Intel's boards have better support for SLI .... but the HD7000 series will come out (northern Island) so I wanna prepare for when it arrives, but seriously am I too much future proof-ing my system? SATA 6 and all that stuff?
