4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.

not really

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

yes

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

stick with 470 or whate fore specs on 1 GB 460. In the rievew on the front page you can see that 460 cant hack high reasalutions and gaming. You may want 2 drives fore safty sake in raid or 2 in raid and one more fore back ups. Win 7 gets cranky if it cant back up and you dont turn off the frendly reminders.

I am not sure about the HAF X either i want something in the same price range with good cable management. I hate cables showing.

bang per buck the cm II or 922 offer better value, in my opinion.

470 is overpriced for the performance it gives

If you want a case that is good for cable management the corsair obsidian 800D is one of the best. The case is currently on sale at NCIX for $249.99 with a $20.00 mail in rebate.

Dual GTX460 should be able to get you 20k ppd by themselves with only a bit more power consumption and probably about the same or less heat than a GTX 470, not to mention game performance will be pretty insane. Just make sure to get the 1GB version since your gaming at 1920x1200. The GTX 470 on the other hand will get you 16k ppd MAX, while being almost as power hungry and throwing out a ton of heat. I have one and I sorta wish I held out for the GTX 460 since I fold a lot more than I game.

I'd pick the Gigabyte board over the Asus, it's cheaper and just as good in terms of features/quality.

Smile New Builds

I like the components you've chosen and agree with most suggestions. I've heard that the 800D case is not as good for airflow as the HAF X,however iether case would be great. There are a lot of features to both, including cable management.
A good SSD for the OS would really help overall performance. I like Mushkin memory but it is generally a bit more than G Skill. Patriot is good and so is Corsair, but a bit pricey.
As for mobo, the decision is yours but I own the P6X58D-E and find it very user friendly, even for a beginner like me.
Good luck with your build and enjoy!!!

Edit:I would've suggested the Amp 460s but one takes up 3 slots, so there's little chance of two of those in sli unless you go for a crazy mobo which would blow your budget up.
