Default New first build! any final advice?

Motherboard: Asus P7P55D-E
CPU: Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz Socket LGA1156
RAM :
4GB G.Skill ECO Series CL7 DDR3 Dual Channel kit (2x 2GB modules)
Case: CoolerMaster Storm Scout
PSU: Coolermaster GX 550W PSU - 6x SATA 2x PCI-E 80plus Certified
HDD: Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache
GPU: XFX HD 5770 850MHz 1GB DDR5 HDMI Dual DVI Display Port PCI-E Graphics Card
OEM: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Total: 697.42 approx $
1,121.96 (canadian)

Sounds like a good rig i have a similar setup

i5 750 does very well with my 5870

Good selection of components. I would get a Corsair psu over the CM though. Also, if/when possible consider getting a SSD for your OS.

I second the idea about a bit better quality PSU. That GX might 'look' good but in reality its a medicore PSU at best.

SOmething like a HX650, Silverstone Strider Plus 600/750W , Antec Earthwatts 650W ect... better for the longevity of everything you have there.

Your build looks good. Good choice of graphics card. XFX has a terrific warranty.

I agree with fishingfanatic, corsair makes great PSU's.

I also agree on trying for the the 5850, if possible. Also a better PS, corsair makes some excellent ones. Either way your spec is still a good one and will make an excellent PC
